Online Pamono White Iron and Glass Globe Floor Lamp by Aldo Van Den Nieuwelaar, 1970s

This modernist floor light from the ‘Globe’ series is most exemplary for the work of Dutch designer and architect Aldo van den Nieuwelaar. The designs of van den Nieuwelaar can be characterised as exoticly minimal and down to the minutest perfectly balanced. This rare light was produced by Dutch company Domani for only a few years and in quite a limited edition because lots of components had to be hand-made at the time. Perfect original opaline glass globe ( dia 35 cm ) The white painted iron pipe construction is made out of one piece. The light is quite heavy and is stable. Good condition, electrical parts have been checked.
Together with Guzzini, Arteluce and Raak, Domani was one of the innovative European lighting companies of the 20th century. Bulbholder: normal E 27, suitable for normalodern LED bulbs.
